Introduction

Carmelina is a character from a mobile/browser game Granblue Fantasy. A circus acrobat with a big smile and plenty of energy, she joins the crew of Grandcypher (or actually invites the crew to travel with her) in hopes of getting everyone to learn the joys of being a performer. Currently she has 2 versions in the game, SSR which is the original and SR alt where she tames a lion! Her lovely little catchphrase is "PEACE!".

Backstory And Joining The Crew

Before joining the crew, Carmelina was part of a troupe of jesters. However, during one trip they left her behind and never came back for her. (Possibly jealous due to her skills or annoyed by her outgoing personality.) Later on that same island Danchou and the Grandcypher crew come across her performance. The new faces in the audience interest her and after her peformance she comes to ask them if they enjoyed it. But their converstation is cut short by imperial soldiers arriving and recognizing the crew as wanted criminals. The crew escapes and the soldiers give them a chase.

Intrigued, Carmelina decides to join in on the chase and goes after the crew. Soon she finds them in the bushes having used Lyria's powers to hide themselves. From her powers and the crew's talking lizard pet Carmelina gains the impression that they are travelling entertainers, but upon hearing the truth that they are just regular skyfarers she feels like its a big waste. How could they not show off such talent? And so she invates them to join her on travels, going from town to town performing together. Even when shy about the idea of performing in front of a crowd at first, carmelina hopes that by just seeing her perform the crew would eventually understand just how fun it is.

After joining the crew Carmelina has had few adventures. Bringing joy to villages they visit and resolving conflict with circus performances (or little violence, if need to). At one point Carmelina gets invitation to perform at the Jewel Resort Casino. There the crew finds a lion that Christina the casino owner doesnt know what to do with. Having been abused by its previous owner the lion is very aggressive and a big trouble maker. Carmelina however offers to adopt the lion, promising to captain to be a model pet owner. Its lot of work, but she eventually succeeds in convincing the lion that they can be friends. Naming the big boy Happy, for all the smiles they will bring to peoples faces performing together.

During the days of training for the performance, the crew also find the previous owner of the lion trying to sabotage it. Carmelina reveals that she is used to such pranks, having faced them and worse daily when she was performing in her previous troupe. She would find nails in her food or needles in her drinks. But she noticed them in time, so all is well she says, laughing it off. (Its all better now, she has a crew that really cares for her.) She performs together with Happy in the huge show, and while basking in the afterglow of the huge applause she imagines a future where the crew travels together as a circus troupe.

Minor appearances

Carmelina has few minor appearances outside of her personal story.

Ulamnuran FLB: Carmelina appears briefly in the FLB max level story. If player has recruited her she appears in first scene to comment how Ulamnuran's circus plan sounds fantastic. Regardless of her being recruited or not she also appears in the final show to give her little performance before Ulamnuran takes the stage.

Christmas 2020: Appearing few times over the skit, Carmelina sets up a small performance together with a fellow draph girl Karva for the Christmas day! The show itself is never shown however. And Danchou rejects Carmelina's offer to take part in it, imagining it to be too thrilling. SHAME!

Christmas 2023: The crew plans and organizes a Christmas performance for a gloomy orphanage. Carmelina takes part in it together with Ulamnuran, Hallessena, Pengy and other crew members.
